Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. – The U.S. Army announces the award of a 10-year Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) with 10 Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts awarded on behalf of Product Director (PD) Aerostats Production for Fielding, Sustainment, Life Cycle Support and the replenishment of US stocks to 10 industry partners (see list below) with a ceiling of $4,193,327,540.00.
Future task orders to be competed under this MATOC will provide hardware procurement and services, to include engineering, logistics, operation, and program management support for all requirements of the PD Aerostats program office.
“This award is instrumental for ongoing and future intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance [ISR] operations that support the Warfighter,” said Lareina Adams, project manager for Project Manager Terrestrial Sensors (PM TS). “As demand signals continue to increase, aerostat systems will be key in delivering persistent capabilities worldwide.”
The MATOC replenishes US stocks, provides product support service for several Persistent Surveillance System – Tethered (PSS-T) systems currently fielded in support of overseas contingency operations, Army prepositioned stock, as well as for systems located both Contiguous United States (CONUS) and Outside Contiguous United States (OCONUS). PSS-T is a highly persistent and flexible multi-sensor information collection platform, that can be integrated with other aerial and unattended ground sensor systems to provide slew-to-cue capability.
Additionally, this effort will support future Elevated Sensing requirements and provide continued support services to the Persistent Surveillance Dissemination System of Systems (PSDS2) program. PSDS2 networks existing video and data sensors into a common architecture to support persistent surveillance and rapid dissemination of actionable information for the Warfighter.
This MATOC contains an option for on-ramping and off-ramping of vendors to address the Army’s emerging needs.
PD Aerostats, a product office of PM TS, delivers, operates and sustains tactical and fixed-site aerostats, both CONUS and OCONUS, to meet expeditionary and contingency needs by exploiting a full range of persistent Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR), Force Protection, Communications and Full Motion Video (FMV) Management capabilities to Joint, Inter-Agency and Multi-National organizations.
