Army PM PNT executes $97M MAPS GEN II Delivery Order 4

ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, MD –Project Manager (PM) Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) is pleased to announce the Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground award of Mounted Assured PNT Systems (MAPS) Generation (GEN) II Delivery Order (DO4) valued at 96.8M for the purchase of MAPS hardware supporting the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Watercraft (AWS), and Marine Corps System Command (MARCORSYSCOM) from Collins Aerospace.

MAPS Provides trusted PNT to mounted platforms, including ground vechicles, watercraft and munition systems, giving Soldiers data they can trust when operating in GPS-degraded or -denied environments. With this award, the Army will receive 1,212 MAPS devices to support fielding to Army units beginning in FY25; MARCORSYSCOM will receive 400 systems, and AWS will receive 29 for client and platform intergration.  The DO4 award brings the total MAPS devices purchase to 3,419 when combined with previously allotted delivery orders.

MARCORSYSCOM previously purchase MAPS hardware under DO3 to support integration and first unit equipped; it will use hardware purchase under DO4 to coninue equipping U.S. Marines.  PM PNT is pleased to facilitate cross-service partnership to provide critical technology to the total force.

“By allowing us to use the existing MAPS contract for the Army Watercraft program, our Program Executive Office saved a significant amount of time and effort,” said Pam Brown, Program Executive Office, Combat Support & Combat Service Support network integration lead, as the award allowed the organization to purchase MAPS systems nearly a year sooner.  “We truly appreciate the partnership and cross-service support.”
