“The great growling engine of change – technology.” said Alvin Toffler, a Brooklyn raised businessman and futurist who wrote the prescient book “Future Shock,” in 1970. “Technology feeds on itself. Technology makes more technology possible.”
Program Executive Office Intelligence Electronic Warfare & Sensors’ (PEO IEW&S) whole business is centered on fielding the best technology possible for our Soldiers. Creating it, procuring it, fielding it and sustaining it. That means PEO IEW&S needs capable leaders at every level and is working to create and improve them every day.
One way they do this is sending current team members to the Aberdeen Proving Ground Senior Leader Cohort.
The installation wide program was established in 2009 for GS 14 to 15 or equivalent employees with the goal of developing current personnel into higher levels of leadership skill and knowledge. More than 370 participants have graduated from the program since its inception and eight of them have gone on to serve in the very selective Senior Executive Service, a key civilian leadership group in DoD operations.
Five members of PEO IEW&S were selected for this year’s APG Leadership Cohort and they are:
•Tracy Novoa, Dismounted Assured Positioning System (DAPS) Lead Senior Test of the Evaluation Office for Product Manager Dismounted (PdM Dismounted) under Project Manager Positioning Navigation and Timing (PM PNT)
•Gary Clerie, Jr, Associate Director, DoD Counter Remote Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) Electronic Warfare (CREW) Single Manager Program Office under Project Manager Electronic Warfare & Cyber (PM EW&C)
•Stephanie Moffite, Information System Security Manager with Product Manager Information Warfare under PM EW&C
•Kimberly Nugent, Business Management Specialist with PEO IEW&S Headquarters
•Dana Trzeciak, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Other Transaction Authority (OTA) Project Management Office (PMO) Director.

The cohort program begins for students in April 2021 and ends February 2022, with 26 sessions between three and four days long with one-on-one executive coaching sessions for each participant and team coaching for Community Based project teams
